Wonderfully done. The feeling and depth of the water is great. The fish look a little translucent as if they were built on top of the painting as an afterthought. Could be strange shadows which are always tricky underwater. Some deeper contrast in parts of the hair would make it less flat. but these are really just nits to a very strong composition.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback, very constructive which I appreciate. Wallace: Good point regarding the hair; I was very careful not to overdetail or oversharpen anything, as I was going for more of a softer look with this piece. vanettda: Very good points; The lightning was definitely challenging; I wanted to bring attention towards the figure, so I was careful not to do anything overly dynamic. **Also, to be clear, this is NOT a portrait of Kayness (ironically, I'm painting her next )

Very beautiful. Very nice rendering and I liked how really captured that underwater feel to the piece. The only thing that bugs me is the hair a tad as it looks like it is all on one plane. Perhaps if in a few areas in the hair the contrast was increased and decreased in others for some more depth.
