Description
I'm currently doing some Master copies in order to help improve my skill. I think I can learn a lot studying from the old Masters, especially in terms of color. The original piece titled "The Bacchante" is from Gerome Jean Leon. I started this one in black and white and added color in the later stages. I might be using this technique in all my future pieces, I'm not so sure. Colors can tend to get a bit muddy if you start off with greyscale, but hopefully I can rectify that.

When you copy such works, please provide a link to the original / the reference.
Now, over to your version:
You seem to have copied it well, so you have a keen eye. I am amazed that you got even the small traits, such as the point she is looking at, and the mouth's expression, right. Well done. You could have been a little more accurate with the place where chin meets ear, as the way it is right now, it's too blurry and thus it looks unfinished.
But, it is well copied.

ichino Gracias
Bakatron: Thanks Baka-man!
Amanita: Thanks; I learned a crazy amount with this one, especially in regards on how to handle clothing. Well worth it I think.
Jacobine: Glad to hear that; I think I finally got the hang of properly rendering clothes (that was something I struggled a lot with in the past).
ansu: Thank you; It could have used a bit more refining I admit, but I really wanted to keep this one loose, so I stopped a bit early to keep that painterly feel.
Jane: You have a point about the point where the chin meets the ear, definitely could have used more refining. And yes, this is a recreation of "The Bacchante" from Gerome Jean Leon, done as a study/practice exercise, which was stated that in the decription - I never claimed it was an original piece.
everseen: Thank you.
